Members of the ASDP Colorado have been juried by their peers with in the frame work of the Standards of quality for Custom Clothing established by the National Assoc. of Sewing and Design Professionals. This ensures that the members continue to improve in their areas of expertise. This process is part of our goal to uphold high standards in the field of sewing and design. This ensures that our customers are satisfied with our services and our products.

Contact an Association of Sewing and Design Professionals member from the referral list below. When you call, describe your project, your budget, your time line and ask to schedule a consultation. Most professionals charge a consultation fee.

Sometimes, you can get you a rough estimate of the cost of a project in a phone call. But most often the seamstress needs to review many factors before citing prices, including the choice of fabric and style, pattern adjustments, pattern drafting, fitting issues, cutting and the actual sewing of the garment.

On the Colorado Referral list many individuals have been “juried” in their specialty. This means they have passed a standards review in that specific skill.

Ask questions: How long has the person been in business? Ask to see photos or samples of the work and ask for references. Association members welcome your questions.

At the consultation, listen carefully as your sewing professional will be listening to you as well. You want to work with someone who can deliver what you want but is honest and professional enough to guide you.
